Final Fantasy X set for January 2002

SquareSoft's epic RPG will arrive in the US in January of next year.

Square Electronic Arts has announced that Final Fantasy X will be released for the North American PlayStation 2 in January 2002. The game, which stars two characters named Tidus and Yuna, is currently available in Japan and has sold more than 2 million units since its release in that territory on July 19. It is the first PlayStation 2 game to sell more than 2 million copies. The North American version of the game will include a veteran voice cast. James Arnold Taylor, who appeared in the feature film A Moment of Silence, will provide the voice for Titus, and Hedy Burress, whose credits include television series such as First Monday and Boston Common will provide the voice for Yuna. GameSpot will have more on Final Fantasy X in the coming weeks.
