Final Fantasy X-2 sells a million

Square Enix announces that more than a million copies of Final Fantasy X-2 have been sold in North America to date.

Square Enix has today announced that more than a million copies of Final Fantasy X-2 have been sold in North America since it was released in November. Combined with more than 2 million sales in Japan and around 6.6 million worldwide sales of Final Fantasy X, today's announcement brings the total number of units shipped for Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2 to more than 10 million.

"Hitting this milestone reinforces the high review scores and widespread recognition Final Fantasy X-2 has received for its storyline, gameplay, and graphics," said Jun Iwasaki, president and CEO, Square Enix USA. "It also shows that fans of Final Fantasy X were waiting to continue the journey in this sequel. We are pleased with the wonderful response that Final Fantasy X-2 has received from the public and at retail."
