Final Fantasy Type-0 HD PC Release Date, New Features Revealed

The PC edition launches in August, complete with "increased blood levels" and more graphics options.

The PC version of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD finally has a release date.

The game, which comes with new graphics improvements and features, will debut for PC through Steam on August 18, Square Enix announced on Tuesday. Gematsu reports that other new features include:

  • Improved in-game battle camera
  • Scalable motion blur settings
  • Customizable dynamic screen shot mode
  • Upgraded graphics resolution options for high-end PCs
  • Increased blood levels
  • New character speed boosts
  • Full controller support
  • Full Steam achievements and trading cards

Square Enix and Valve have also teamed up for a special preorder promotion for Type-0 HD. Everyone who preorders will get the Master Chocobo as a courier and the Moogle (Class Zero) as a ward in Dota 2. What's more, people who preorder also get a special Type-0 HD loading screen.

“Developing Final Fantasy Type-0 HD for Steam gave us the opportunity to fully realize our original vision of the game in an enhanced and refined experience exclusively for PC players," director Hajime Tabata said in a statement.

Type-0 HD was released in March for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The game, which came with access to the Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae demo, has shipped more than 1 million copies.
