Square has released additional information regarding the upcoming North American release of Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy II for the PlayStation. Both games will be included on a single disc under the name of Final Fantasy Origins, and, as expected, they'll both benefit from a number of changes. Audio and visual improvements have been made to both titles, and CG introductions have also been added. In addition, the Origins disc will feature a photo gallery with images that can be unlocked as players progress through the games, a new bestiary option that will give players detailed information on the various creatures in the games, and new gameplay modes that make Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy II more accessible to newcomers.

Final Fantasy Origins is scheduled for release in April.
