Japanese game makers just don't understand the modern world. We don't buy games on cartridges anymore Japan, sorry. Oh and also, we don't pay game prices that sort of hint that the cartridges are still there in spirit either.

I'm on a mission to beat every numbered Final Fantasy game. I beat VII to current, now, I'm up to III, and next up is IV. I've heard it's pretty good. I'm rather stoked.

Did they really release the 3d version? yeah, no thanks, I'll stick with the sprites

Difficulty is a great part of this game (I never found it hard to be honest)

I find games now WAY too easy. So much that I often don't finish them now, because it gets boring.

so in other words they made it easier then? if people are so bad they can't complete Final Fantasy 4 then they shouldn't be playing it really, FF4 is one of the easier FF games anyway

Vice City sucks. THe control don't work well on touchscreen.

I played FFIII on my galaxy S3 and controls ports so well to touchscreen smartphones. Not to mention it was the best game I played on my phone.

You should not only look at price, but also the quailty of the game. I would rather play 16$ for FFIV than 10 shooting games on portable device with only touchscreen.

Is that supposed to be Cecil? I'll stick with the SNES version. I don't want to know what they are doing to one of my favorite FF's.

It's expensive. The physical version is only $19.99 NEW with box, manual and disc.

This IOS version does not have expansion. The 3D graphics look slightly better than the DS version but not enough to warrant another purchase. They should have ported over the PSP version after years instead.

No way any iOS should be worth more then 10 dollars. Rip off

$16? For a game that was released four years ago, that was itself an update of a game from 1991? Plus the fact that it's an iOS game knocks it down a few more points.

At this point the game's price on other platforms is irrelevant. Even a FF game can't get away with such a steep price tag on the handheld market, unless they release a proper overhaul of the game or at least make some significant changes/additions. But a straight port at that price is doomed to fail in my opinion.

One thing that needs to be omitted in all future re-releases of FF games is random encounters. There's simply no place for them in JRPG's anymore.

16$ games for ios - too expensive, can't afford. (even the game is nice)

60$ games for console/pc - BOUGHT! (even the game is crappy) =/

Everyone who has played FFIV I definitely recommend playing FFIV the After Years. Bought it recently on Wii from WiiWare(it's also on PSP or just get emulator) and I just love it, story is intence and it's great to play new Final Fantasy that actually feels like FF-game should feel like. It's a bit overpriced, 800 wii points and about 4 hours to play and quite linear, and there're also 8 additional chapters, or "tales" that cost 300 each(last one is 800 because it's last 3 cramped together) that continue the story, but I think it was worth every penny and worthy sequel to an awesome FF game.

Beat it for SNES and GBA... but will definitely be picking this up for iOS!

Seven re-releases of FFIV (SNES, PS1, GBA, DS, PSP, Wonder Swan Color, Virtual Console, iOS) and still no sign of FF Versus XIII, where's the game Square Enix?

These games can fall anywhere between $30 and $60 AUD instore and you people are complaining that they're less than $20 with a graphical upgrade? Would you rather pay full price or what?

$16 is just too much. Most of the SE games for iOS are too expensive. It's my opinion that SE is very greedy.

Sometimes even my buddies prefer the smartphone version cause it has less gimmick and better sharper visual, and Square Enix already release exclusives that can run on 3DS but instead a Iphone, and Smartphone exclusive.......

This price just doesn't compute to your average iOS gamer, I don't care what game it is. There's too much selection at the $.99-$2.99 level for people to even give this a second look.

The version on psp has a style that I like better. Pixelated and cheaper!
