Lightning overall character design is one of the best in years. Probably even top 10 of all time but damn the character personality and backstory are super stale. That still doesn't stop her from being the face of the franchise.

A lot of gil is to be made with her and SE knows it.

I don't know crap about fashion so maybe this doesn't look so out of the ordinary in the fashion world. This instance, and the one in 2012 mentioned in this article that I also no nothing about, probably aren't the first time this industry experimented with using 3d models. I mean, they've been using drawings and paintings of men and women since forever, right?
