When Final Fantasy VII Remake launched in April, it included some DLC that could only be unlocked in the US--and only by players with a penchant for a certain chocolate bar. The game's somewhat infamous Butterfingers DLC could only be redeemed by purchasing chocolate bars, and fans found that they had to buy a lot of them to get everything.

But now, that DLC is available--and free--for all players around the world. There are five new free pieces of DLC available for the game, all of which were previously made available through Butterfinger.

Good. A couple of these came in handy during the first portion of the game, but none were particularly earth shattering. No reason why they shouldn't be part of the game by default imo, but at least they're free now.

Thanks for the info. Just as a note, the link you include is for the Australian region, and won't work for those not in said region. I went to the FF7 Remake page for the DLC available, and found the stuff there.

Bit late really, the gear you get isn't exactly high end stuff, so it's replaced early on. I suppose it's fine if you want to completely restart for some reason.

Maybe don't lock stuff behind regional promotions next time?
