Episode Duscae 2.0 is expected to include a variety of changes and improvements, based on the volumes of feedback received from the first iteration of the demo.

At the end of April, Final Fantasy XV director Hajime Tabata said that Square Enix was targeting a mid-to-late-May release window for the updated demo. It's going to miss that window, which may be the result prolonged discussions with Microsoft and Sony.

"From a first-party perspective, there's been no precedent of applying patches to demos, so we're currently discussing with them to see if it's feasible," Tabata said at the time.

During a video event in April, Square Enix developers revealed the top fifteen complaints about Episode Duscae. Tabata addressed them, one by one, offering his take for issues such as the game's Cindy character (above) being "too sexy," as well as camera, frame rate, and resolution concerns.

In other recent Square Enix news, the publisher has delayed its E3 media briefing by an hour to avoid a conflict with Nintendo.
