Final Fantasy XV is coming to PC very soon.

Final Fantasy XV is launching on PC on March 6. If you want to play right away, the good news is that the game is available right now to pre-load ahead of launch. Square Enix announced this on Twitter today, alerting fans that they can now pre-load the game, which is good news considering the game weighs in at between 100 GB and 155 GB.

Final Fantasy XV: Windows Edition, as it's called, will be available next week on digital platforms such as Steam and Origin, among others. Ahead of launch, you can play the game's free PC demo--here's how to download it.

The PC version of Final Fantasy XV includes the base game and its various DLC expansions, including those themed around each of your party members and the one adding the Comrades multiplayer mode. Additionally, if you purchase the game by May 1, you'll be entitled to Half-Life/Final Fantasy XV and The Sims 4 crossover content.

Before Final Fantasy XV comes to PC, you can find out if your computer can run it by checking out the minimum and recommended specs here. Additionally, Square Enix has released a bechmark tool that helps you optimize your computer before launch.

Also due out on March 6 is Final Fantasy XV's Royal Edition for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. This package includes the base game and all previously released DLC.

This is well optimized.

Prob going to finish World Of FF first, since that was on sale. No rush really.

@uninspiredcup: World of Final Fantasy is my favorite Final Fantasy game. My only complaint would be the dialog of that flying squirrel.

Just think, soon, you Americans will soon have to get the "Oh, you want to do more than just check facebook and email? You'll want our 'let us bend you over' package for a mere $299.99/month (overage charges extra)." With 4K games pushing the limits of bandwidth demands.... yikes.

Love that "free market". Free to bend people over for every red cent they can get.

@datriax: This has nothing to do directly with FF15's launch, so keep that crap out of here.

@datriax: What most Americans don't realize is that we already have that. You want the best speed, pay for it. You want the most bandwidth, pay for it. You want amazon prime video? Well, they're servers suck, so we recommend netflix. They're awesome AND we have a partnership with them so we promise we won't throttle your streaming!

Once the game becomes profitable, it's then safe to release it to the Mos Eisley pseudo-platform of PC piracy and scum.

@lonesamurai1: Even CDPR, the darling of PC gamers, talks about piracy with some regularity. So don't try and make out that it's not a real problem.

It's a real problem.

GTA5 was delayed on PC. Why?

FFXV was delayed on PC. Why?

Also, I never said PC was unpopular, so this is a distraction. You'd also expect the system with the biggest propensity to thieve from to have more users anyway, so this gets you nowhere.

@lonesamurai1: Well that's what I said initially - once the game becomes profitable, they release it on PC. And if all of these improvements you list are PC exclusive, where do you think the money comes from? They don't over-capitalise on PC until the console sales prop up the inevitable piracy.

@so_hai: Sad but true. PC gamers will come up with any old shit to justify pirating.

@lonesamurai1: Most of PC is currently MP games like PUBG or surivvla games that are generally pirate proof and best played with a large population.

AAA quality SP games are now firmly belonging to consoles. Those are the games that suffered. Objectively better genres like FPS and primarily made for Xbox/PS4. Other games i.e. this, are delayed to stop PC gamers eating into console sales.

@uninspiredcup: The ones that are pirate-proof are never cheater-proof either, and the ones that have no cheaters aren't played too much...
