Final Fantasy 14 expands the Ishgardian Restoration event, but more importantly, adds parasols.

Comments

Final Fantasy XIV Patch 5.21 gives crafters and gatherers what they want by expanding the Ishgardian Restoration. This update follows the huge 5.2 patch added on February 18, subtitled Echoes of a Fallen Star. The 5.21 update also offers new in-game accessories, like emotes, hairstyles, new dyes, and best of all--parasols.

In the Ishgardian Restoration, new areas are now available to restore, and along with that, new story quests and side quests can be unlocked once a player finishes all the reconstruction works in patch 5.21.

For the crafters, new materials can now be crafted and submitted to the Ishgardian Restoration, and doing so will unlock the Kupo of Fortune. It's basically a lottery game: if you obtain five stamps by delivering items to the Potkin, you can get a Kupo of Fortune card in exchange. Then, you can choose one of the four hexagons on the card to scratch in order to obtain a mystery prize.

For gatherers, Diadem is now open for harvesting of materials to use in crafting recipes. Special weather conditions will yield special items. A weapon, called Aetheromatic Auger, can be used against enemies to obtain a "wealth of resources." Certain gathering spots added in patch 5.11 are no longer available as of the 5.21 update.

Rankings are also a feature of the Ishgardian Restoration now and will be based on Skyward points. These can be earned by submitting or inspecting certain Ishgardian Restoration items. You can increase your Skyward points by taking a chance and making newly added expert recipes. They're harder to craft and come in new conditions like, centered, sturdy, and pliant, which each have their own benefits.

For battle changes, 5.x players will now receive the power of Echo while completing Eden's Garden raids. Maximum HP, damage dealt, and healing potency will all increase by 10%. Some changes have been made to the battle with Thunder God in Orbonne Monastery. A few debuff effects have been reduced, such as Bleeding and Vulnerability Up, and other minor battle mechanisms have been tweaked.
