Now Playing: Dark Souls III - The Ringed City DLC Announcement Trailer

"This new adventure has players chasing after the Slave Knight Gael to the literal end of the world as he searches for the Dark Soul of Humanity," reads a line from The Ringed City's official description.

It continues: "At the close of the Age of Fire, as the world ends and all lands converge upon themselves, a lone adventurer descends into the madness of the earth and uncovers the secrets of the past."

The Ringed City introduces "ancient beasts" and characters who are "teetering on the edge of insanity." Additionally, new armor, weapons, and magic will be available. Overall, publisher Bandai Namco describes The Ringed City as a place "filled with new horrors for players to overcome."

The Ringed City is included with Dark Souls III's $25 season pass or it can be purchased by itself for $15. The season pass also includes Dark Souls III's first expansion, Ashes of Ariandel, which came out in October 2016.

"Dark Souls III: The Ringed City brings players toe-to-claw against massive beasts in a twisted descent into the bowels of the end of the world," Bandai Namco marketing director Jason Enos said in statement. "FromSoftware has crafted visually arresting environments that evoke a sense of destroyed beauty and nail biting encounters that will leave players breathless for more."

In Europe, Bandai Namco will receive a Game of the Year version of Dark Souls III called The Fire Fades Edition. This comes with the game and its two expansions. It launches on April 21.
