Fighting Force is shaping up to be a quality game. The latest rev of the game we saw on Wednesday contains more levels and improved enemy intelligence.

For those of you that don't know Fighting Force, in a nutshell it's a 3-D Final Fight/Streets of Rage type of game. Kind of like Die Hard Arcade for the Saturn except Fighting Force uses a true 3-D engine that allows players to move and interact in every direction.

Fighting force features 3-D polygon graphics that so far look really good. Players can choose to be one of four characters. Two players can also play simultaneously in the standard go-through-the-levels and beat-up-the-bad guy mode or face off against each other in a grudge match mode.

So far the thing we at VGS like the most about Fighting Force is the amazing environment interaction that players have. In every level it seems that almost everything can be picked up and thrown, used as a weapon, or simply demolished: vending machines, ATMs, cars, gates, fences, you name it and you can probably break it. The weapons range from an ordinary stick to a not so ordinary bazooka.

Core seems to be on the right track with this title. Check out our Fighting Force preview for more info.
