Earlier this year, Australia won the bid to host one of 10 live qualifiers for the 2010 FIFA Interactive World Cup, the world's largest football gaming tournament. To celebrate, GameSpot AU teamed up with EA to give away 10 spots in the live qualifier, which took place at the Sydney Royal Easter Show over the weekend. The major prize? A trip to Barcelona to compete in the worldwide finals of the tournament.

While the Aussie GameSpotters who entered were knocked out before the finals, the event still proved a big success, with players able to get their hands on EA's 2010 FIFA World Cup game early and try their luck at the football skills arena.
