FFVII Arrives...But Not For All

Today many stores receive their shipments of Final Fantasy VII. Don't get left out!

Comments

While the official release date is September 7, shipments of Final Fantasy VII have already been received at software chains nationwide. The Electronics Boutique location in Glen Burnie, MD, was doing brisk business having sold almost 100 copies of FFVII by 8 pm on Tuesday - the chain's Toronto location was sold out by the end of the day.

Some stores, however, won't be getting the game early. In San Francisco, for example, about 50 people milled around the Electronics Boutique location in the Stonestown Mall expecting the PlayStation title to go on sale at 4pm. The sad word came around 5pm that there would be no joy in Frisco tonight - the game was held up in UPS limbo and wouldn't show until Wednesday.

If you've pre-purchased the game, you should have no problem collecting your copy at software chain stores like Electronics Boutique and Babbage's. Best Buy advertising circulars were touting a September 4 release date.

Many stores are expected to receive hundreds of copies of the game - with pre-purchase numbers topping 200+ at many stores.

If you have not pre-purchased a copy they may be harder to come by, but rest assured there will be plenty of Final Fantasy VII for everyone by the official September 7 release date.

What are you waiting for...!
