On top of an official sales figure for Fez coming to light, Polytron's official Twitter account revealed that a patch for the downloadable game is currently in certification and will be released soon.

Fez had a long and storied development. Initially announced in 2009 with a projection to be released the following year, the game was later pushed to 2012. In February, Fez won the Seumas McNally Grand Prize award at the 2012 Independent Games Festival. Fish was also one of the developers featured in the award-winning Indie Game: The Movie documentary.

Fez is a 2D platformer built entirely using Microsoft's XNA tools in an 8-bit pixel art style. The game also adds a third dimension and lets players rotate the gameworld around the protagonist, Gomez. For more on the title, check out GameSpot's review.
