Matt Damon will have a small role in the upcoming female-centric Ocean's Eight, the Oscar winner has revealed. Speaking to ET, Damon teased, "I'm doing a little bit in the movie."

He added that he hasn't read the script for his part yet, but said he is psyched about the casting. "The cast is phenomenal, and I'm excited to see what those women do with it. It's going to be fun."

Presumably, Damon will be playing Linus Caldwell, his character from Ocean's 11-13. Whether the characters played by George Clooney and Brad Pitt also appear in the new one remains to be seen.

Ocean's Eight stars Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter, Rihanna, Mindy Kaling, Awkwafina, and Sarah Paulson. It is directed by The Hunger Games' Gary Ross, and produced by Steven Soderbergh, who helmed the original Oceans trilogy. The film is slated to open on June 8, 2018.

Ocean's Eleven earned $450 million worldwide in 2001. While the two sequels weren't quite as successful, they all proved to be considerable box office hits, helping the franchise reach more than $1.1 billion at the box office, according to Box Office Mojo.
