Vivendi Games is set to strike F.E.A.R. into the hearts and disc drives of PlayStation 3 owners. The publisher today announced that its supernatural first-person shooter will ship to stores April 24. While the game has previously appeared on the Xbox 360 and PC, Vivendi is adding exclusive content to its latest iteration.

The PS3 edition of F.E.A.R. will feature an exclusive level and weapon in addition to the Xbox 360's "instant action" mode, an "arcade style" mode in which players battle through close quarters as quickly as possible and then upload their results to online leaderboards.

F.E.A.R. is rated M for Mature. For more on the game, check out GameSpot's reviews of the PC and Xbox 360 editions.
