This is the third and final part of VU Games and Monolith Productions' E3 demonstration for F.E.A.R., the upcoming first-person shooter that was one of the surprises of the show. In F.E.A.R., which stands for First Encounter Assault and Recon, you'll play as a member of an elite military team tasked with dealing with the occult and supernatural. F.E.A.R. is a game that promises tons of action and plenty of jump-out-of-your-seat moments.
In the previous two clips, you saw your character battle his way into a military installation and encounter some disturbing paranormal phenomena. However, if you blinked, you may have missed what lurked in the dark corners of the game. In the final clip, you finally get to see your nemesis up close, and you have to locate a missing member of your team. Along the way, you'll also run into more of those strange enemies who phase in and out of sight and leap around with superhuman ability.
Oh, and did we mention that you get to see your character use that cool dropkick ability again? We'll also post a full version of the demonstration tomorrow, so come back, download it, and show it to your friends. And make sure to check back with us, as we'll keep a close eye on F.E.A.R. until it ships, which should be sometime next year.
