Tecmo today announced that Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly Director's Cut has shipped for the Xbox. Based on the PlayStation 2 title released earlier this year, Fatal Frame II is a survival horror game that stars twin sisters trapped in an abandoned village. Mio and Mayu must defeat evil monsters and solve puzzles using an old camera that they find on the grounds.

New features for the Xbox version of the game include enhanced graphics and sound, a first-person view option, a never-before-seen ending, and unlockable alternate costumes for the characters (including bikinis, of course). A survival mode will transport players to a new level called "All God's Village" where they will be set upon by a challenging gauntlet of enemy ghosts in rapid succession.

Rated "M" for Mature, Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly Director's Cut carries an SRP of $49.99. For more information, check out GameSpot's review.
