Fast & the Furious 9--or F9: The Fast Saga according to Universal--has been delayed again. The film was supposed to release on May 28, but it will now arrive in theaters on June 25, according to The Wrap. F9: The Fast Saga was originally coming to theaters on May 22, 2020.

Additionally, Minions: The Rise of Gru has been pushed back a full year from July 2, 2021 to July 1, 2022. This will mean the Minions sequel will have been pushed back two years from its original release date, which was July 3, 2020.

Because of the COVID the current pandemic, movie theaters are slow to reopen--because it's all based on state-by-state restrictions--so getting people into theaters is a little tough right now. Vaccines are rolling out across the nation, but it's not safe to go back to the theaters just yet.

F9 sees Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his "family" reunited with his actual family, a long-lost brother named Jakob, played by John Cena. However, Jakob is working with the bad guys, more specifically Cipher from The Fate of The Furious, played once again by Charlize Theron. And of course, Sung Kang returns as the beloved Han. How? We won't know until June--or maybe even later.

As for Minions: The Rise of Gru, Steve Carell returns to voice the diabolical Gru once more. The film takes place during the '70s and follows the future genius as he becomes a fan of the Vicious 6, a supervillain group. Of course, the movie will also feature a ton of Minions being goofy.

These aren't the only movies that have shifted. Check out all of the movie delays because of COVID.
