Far Cry Primal Collector's and Apex Editions Detailed

Here's what you'll get if splash some extra cash on Ubisoft's open-world shooter.

Ubisoft has detailed the content included in the special editions of Far Cry Primal, which will be available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One when the game launches on February 23. The PC release will follow on March 1.

The Collector's Edition is pitched as the complete package that will "equip every player and Far Cry fan with the best premium package to survive Oros, allowing them to understand the terrain and master the prehistoric in-game language."

The Far Cry Primal website has the standard version of the game available for preorder priced at £54.99, while the Collector's Edition is £64.99. The PC download, meanwhile, is £49.99 for the Standard Edition and £64.99 for the Collector's Edition.

In the US, a separate deluxe edition packaged with a steelbook, as well as access to various skins and perks, will retail for $70.

The specific contents of the Collector's Edition can be found below.

  • Far Cry Primal game. Exclusive Far Cry Primal Collector Box with sabretooth skull opening.
  • Official Wenja phrasebook: your guide in Oros, full of useful words and in-game sentences. It is a condensed collection of the work of specialists/experts that have adapted a unique language for this game, based on the Proto-Indo European language.
  • Exclusive Steelbook.
  • Far Cry Primal map of Oros
  • The official game soundtrack and Wenja audio recordings to discover the basics of Far Cry Primal’s official language.
  • Legend of the Mammoth missions: Up to 45 minutes of additional gameplay, where the player will have the unique opportunity to play as the largest animal in Oros, the almighty mammoth, and feel the power to stomp its enemies and defend its herd from other beasts and humans.
  • Duel of beasts: A powerful rhino spirit dares to challenge your might. Battle him and his herd across treacherous cliffs to assert your dominance.
  • The trapped elder: Bloodthirsty hunters have trapped your leader. Crash their camp and lead the elder to freedom.
  • Hunt the hunter: The time for revenge is now. Lead your herd to crush those who threaten your survival.
  • A new weapon, the Blood Shasti Club: A bloodstained club of bone and teeth once wielded by Ull, the vicious leader of the Udam. This weapon is unbreakable and cannot be consumed by flame.
  • 4 enhancement packs: Offers early access to rare resources and unique customisation options.

In addition to the Collector's Edition, Ubisoft will also be offering a Digital Apex Edition, the contents of which can be seen below. This bundle will be available only in EMEA regions.

  • Legend of the Mammoth missions.
  • A new weapon, the Blood Shasti Club: A bloodstained club of bone and teeth once wielded by Ull, the vicious leader of the Udam. This weapon is unbreakable and cannot be consumed by flame.

Ubisoft has said Far Cry Primal will be equivalent to Far Cry 4 in size and content, confirming it is a full sequel as opposed to a Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon-like spin-off.

All the other open world games expand the world with each game but since ubisoft is trying to rush the far cry series and turn it into a annual franchise they have no time to make it bigger.

do i get the legend of the mammoths and other missions withi the regular edtion why do they do so many stupid edtions just sell the game
