Far Cry 6 Preorders Are Live: Multiple Editions And Bonuses Are Available

Far Cry 6, the next entry in the long-running open-world shooter series, releases October 7 on PS5, Xbox Series X, PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Google Stadia. The game was initially supposed to launch in February, but development interruptions caused by the pandemic necessitated a delay. Numerous editions of the game are available to preorder now. If you already know you're down to jump into another zany open-world first-person shooter, you can snag some cool bonuses and discounts with your preorder.

Preorder Far Cry 6 Gold Edition

Far Cry 6's Gold edition comes with the preorder bonuses and the season pass containing three DLCs: Beware the Dictator, The Jewel of the Carribean, and A Nation Stranded in the Past. You'll also get Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon with the season pass. The digital Gold edition costs $100 and can be preordered on the Xbox Store and Ubisoft Store, while the physical steelbook edition costs $110.

Preorder Far Cry 6 Ultimate Edition

Far Cry 6's $120 Ultimate edition comes with the preorder bonuses, season pass, and the Ultimate Pack containing three skin packs: Croc Hunter, Vice, and Jungle Expedition. GameStop is also offering an exclusive steelbook Ultimate edition for $130. You can preorder the digital Ultimate edition on the Xbox Store and Ubisoft Store right now.

Preorder Far Cry 6 Collector's Edition

Far Cry 6 has a massive Collector's edition that's exclusive to the Ubisoft Store. Coming in at $200, the Collector's edition includes everything in the Ultimate edition, the preorder bonus, and a bunch of other goodies:

After being sold out for months, the Collector's edition is back in stock for all platforms. It's worth noting that the Xbox version of the Collector's Edition will not include a physical copy of the game--players will instead receive a download code that will work on both Xbox One and Series X. The PS4/PS5 versions of the game will still contain a disc.

Far Cry 6 is set in the present day in the fictional country of Yara, a tropical paradise that has been "frozen in time," largely due to the country's tyrannical leader Anton Castillo (played by Breaking Bad actor Giancarlo Esposito). As the hero of the story, you'll step into the shoes of Dani Rojas, who helps form a guerilla faction to oust Castillo from power. Far Cry 6 will have some pretty wild guns and customization options.
