Far Cry 3 due September 4
[UPDATE] Trailer for upcoming game reveals September release date for third entry in Ubisoft's action shooter franchise.
Gamers will get their hands on Far Cry 3 this September, according to a leaked trailer for the action game, due out for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
AllGamesBeta (via Joystiq) grabbed the video, which indicates the game will be out in Germany on September 6. Ubisoft had the video pulled from YouTube based on copyright infringement claims.
When Far Cry 3 was announced at the 2011 Electronic Entertainment Expo, it was scheduled to arrive sometime during 2012.
Far Cry 3 will cast players as Jason Brody, a man stranded on a strange tropical island similar to the setting of the first Far Cry. Gamers will head out into this "savage paradise" and "slash, sneak, and shoot" to survive in a world that has "lost all sense of morality."
Far Cry 3 is in development at Ubisoft Montreal, with assistance coming from Ubisoft Shanghai and Massive Entertainment.
[UPDATE] Ubisoft has released the new Far Cry 3 trailer, which shows the game will be out in Europe on Friday, September 7. A North American version will release on September 4.
