Fallout dev teases new RPG
Obsidian Entertainment reveals mysterious role-playing game "Project X"; number 4, dragon image shown in logo.
A new role-playing game is brewing at Obsidian Entertainment, makers of Fallout: New Vegas and the upcoming South Park: The Stick of Truth. The developer's website has been updated with a new teaser page that reveals "Project X."
An image (at right) with the number 4 inside an ouroboros symbol is shown on the page, with text below reading: "What do the words mean?" and "Nothing. The Dirge of Eir Glanfath is found without form, a lone voice crying out in mourning because it must."
Additionally, the page's source code reveals an additional line of text that reads: "To tenderness, fellowship. To fellowship, vigilance. So bring we all to the Night Market. I am the Spindle of Esenath. Know me by my light and stand with me in darkness."
In addition to South Park: The Stick of Truth, Obsidian Entertainment is also working on a game based on Robert Jordan's fantasy novel series The Wheel of Time. This project was announced in 2010 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
