Fallout 4's 1.6 Update Arrives on PS4 and Xbox One

Codsworth gets a vocabulary upgrade.

It took a bit longer than expected to arrive on Xbox One, but all versions of Fallout 4 now have access to update 1.6.

Bethesda announced on Twitter earlier today that the Xbox One patch had been deployed, and this was followed a short time later by the arrival of the PS4 version. The Xbox One version was scheduled to get the patch last week following its July 5 release on PC, but no timeline was offered for its launch on PS4.

Along with some bug fixes, this update enhances Codsworth's vocabulary with more than 300 new names, increasing the odds that he'll be able to vocalize the name you chose for your character. (You can see the full list of names here.) It also adds support for upcoming DLC and new icons in Workshop mode related to DLC items.

New DLC arrives soon, with Vault-Tec Workshop launching on all platforms on July 26. That will then be followed by Fallout 4's final DLC release, Nuka-World, in August.
