Bethesda announced in a tweet that Fallout 4's overhauled Survival mode will enter Steam beta "soon."
Survival mode was explained last month and will change the post-apocalyptic game by disabling features like manual and quicksaves and the fast travel system. It'll also makes it so combat is more lethal, and you'll have better sleep in nicer beds as opposed to sleeping bags. You can read more in our article here, though Bethesda has noted the mode's exact content is subject to change.
The exact release date has not been announced, but we'll keep you updated as more information becomes available. Bethesda says the mode will come to consoles when it's ready for an official release.
In other Fallout 4-related news, the game's first expansion, Automatron, released today. The DLC revolves around the Mechanist, a character who has released an army of hostile robots on the Commonwealth.
