Factor 5 feeling Brash in 2010

@BlackIsle_rip - Factor 5 are PS3 excluseve this gen so they wont be making any games for other consoles. Or so thay said after cutting the ties whit Nintendo.

Lair is supposed to be a good game once you learn the controls. They should release a patch giving regular non motion based controls as an option. I'd probably go back and give Lair a try

Whatever, Factor 5 are a good developer. There main strength is obviously pushing the juice out of a system, but they have made some great gameplay too. They're supposed to be working with Nintendo on a Kid Icarus game. It uses an engine capable of doing everything that the Lair engine could do (although less of it) and Nintendo are designing the gameplay, so that should be awesome. I hope it's a quasimythilogical third person shooter with flying.

They were embarrassed from Lair that they changed their brand identity.

Good for them, these guys are mega number crunchers when it comes to Hardware, the fact the Lair had issues showed that the PS3 was no cake walk to program for. I say they make a new gen Turrican on PSN/Live, that would be insane.

@BlackIsle_rip: Have you actually played Lair any amount of time. The controls weren't the only problems.. .

Rare... and not Factor 5... perfect example when the company leaves where they originated from. Same thing could happen when EA takes over Take Two

The moment that F5 decided to leave Nintendo and starwars games...they have been going down hill and fast.

is F5 working on another aerial based game? If so, that will narrow the movies tie-ins possible.

Folklore - fantastic game. I hope they can redeem themselves from Lair. I really felt bad for them. They were so excited about that game...

This is good news. I would like games based on movies to be much better. And now I have to play Folklore which is just sitting on my shelf. I had no idea Okamoto also worked on Resident Evil.

just put in controler options instead of being lazy and only haveing one control skeme. LAIR was a good game

LAIR WAS GOOD, you guys just dont know how to use the six axis, and just spaz out with the controller and rush everything, Remember its allll in the hips

Factor 5 team has great history. Rogue Squadron on GameCube was fantastic. Lair was just hickup, have faith.

The fully patched-up version of Lair isn't too shabby. It's still rather glorious to behold in 1080p. Too bad it released in such a dubious state. I have faith in Factor 5. People seem to forget some of the great titles they've released in the past.

Well, if the people behind Lair are involved, my excitement about this story is non-existant.

So will this game be on the Wii or what? I can't remember whether Factor 5 went back to being a Nintendo second party or just ended its PS3 exclusivity.

Whoa, the man behind my beloved RE series did Folklore? That's great. I hope he does some movie games justice which is a good possiblity since RE is based off of Dawn Of The Dead.
