Face Factory for The Sims coming next month

Abacus Software will release a tool that lets players import their own photos into EA's best-selling virtual-life game.

Abacus Software, a game company best known for creating add-ons for flight simulations and train simulations, will release a program next month that lets players easily create faces for characters in The Sims, Electronic Arts' best-selling virtual-life game. The program, called Face Factory, merges two photos--front and side--into a single 3D face model that can be used in The Sims. It does not require any knowledge of CAD or 3D modeling programs, and it comes with prebuilt body types to use in creating the game characters.

Face Factory is scheduled for release in July for an approximate retail price of $19.99. For more information, visit the official Abacus Web site.
