Fable Legends PC Not Coming to Steam
"It will be on Windows 10 but not Steam, sorry!"
When the PC version of free-to-play role-playing game Fable Legends is released, you won't be able to buy it on Steam. That's according to developer Lionhead Studios' social media coordinator, who said on Twitter that the game "will be on Windows 10 but not Steam, sorry!"
In another tweet, she said to a fan who asked if Fable Legends would be available through the Windows 10 store or Steam, "It will be available on Windows 10 but not steam :)"

Microsoft has yet to provide specifics regarding the PC launches of Fable Legends and Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, two high-profile Xbox One games also coming to PC. However, it wouldn't be surprising to learn that Microsoft would prioritize its own store over a competitor.
We've followed up with Microsoft in an attempt to get more details on where Fable Legends will be available to buy when it's released. We'll update this post with anything we hear back.
There are a couple Fable games available now on Steam, including Fable Anniversary and Fable: The Lost Chapters.
For its part, Microsoft's top Xbox boss, Phil Spencer, has praised Steam for what it's done for the PC gaming space over the years. "They've been the backbone of PC gaming for the last decade," Spencer said in March 2014. "As a Windows company, I appreciate what they've done."
Wherever it's released, Lionhead has high hopes for Fable Legends. The developer thinks the game will enjoy up to a 10-year lifespan, staying interesting and relevant through lots and lots of DLC.
