Universal has released a new trailer for F9 in which star Vin Diesel speaks about the difficulties of the past year and why he believes it's finally time to reunite at the theater.

"It's been a while. The roads were a little empty. Places where we used to gather went quiet. We've gone through a year that tested us. But we're starting to see the promise of a new day," he says. "For more than 100 years, there is one place where we all came together to be entertained, to escape, to go someplace new. The movies. There is nothing like that moment when the lights go down. The projector ignites. And we believe. After staying apart for so long it's time to come back together. To laugh. To cheer. We're ready to make you believe again. Because nobody does a comeback like the movies. We'll see you soon."

The video includes what appears to be some new footage of F9. Check it out below.

The ninth film in the Fast & Furious saga, F9 follows Diesel's Dom Toretto as he lives off the grid with his family. Dom gets thrust back into danger when his brother Jakob (John Cena) comes to town and threatens his peace.

Justin Lin returns to direct F9 after making the third, fourth, fifth, and sixth entries in the series. The new film tells a globe-trotting story across places like London, Tokyo, America, Edinburgh, Tbilisi, and Azerbaijan.

In addition to Diesel and Cena, F9 stars Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel, and Sung Kang. Charlize Theron and Helen Mirren are also set to star in the movie, while Cardi B plays a new character named Leysa.

F9 releases in theaters on June 25.
