Ubi Soft Entertainment stopped by the VGS offices today to show off the latest version of its upcoming F1 Pole Position 64 racing title for the Nintendo 64.

A realistic racer based on the Formula One International Grand Prix, the game boasts 22 authentic F1 race cars, 22 top F1 drivers, 16 racetracks from the 1996 season, realistic handling, and loads of configurable options for players to tool around with.

Originally released in Japan by Human under the name Human Grand Prix: The Next Generation last February, the title has since been retooled quite a bit by Ubi Soft to improve both graphics and sound effects.

F1 Pole Position is due for an October release.
