Actor F. Murray Abraham will not return for Season 3 of Mythic Quest, according to Vanity Fair. The publication cites a terse statement that doesn't reveal much beyond the simple fact that Abraham is leaving the show.

A spokesperson for Lionsgate, the studio that produces the show, confirmed in a statement to Vanity Fair that: "F. Murray Abraham will not be returning to season three of Mythic Quest. Beyond that, we do not comment on matters concerning personnel."

Back in October, the Apple TV+ workplace comedy satirizing the video game and tech industries was renewed for Seasons 3 and 4, but that announcement had no details nor indication that there might be shake-ups in the cast. All that was known by the time Season 2 concluded back in June was the series proved to be a surprising success for Apple.

Created by Charlie Day, Megan Ganz, and Rob McElhenney for Apple TV+, Mythic Quest follows the journey of multiple developers, producers, and creatives at a game development studio that has created Mythic Quest, and incredibly popular MMORPG enjoyed by thousands of players.

In another Vanity Fair piece last year, Abraham told the publication in an interview that he considered his role on Mythic Quest a "special gift." In stark contrast to this recent news, Abraham said last year that, "I've done a whole lot of work and there are certain things I look for. One of [them] is community. To find that kind of connection and humanity is so hard because it's so segmented."
