Capsmon blatantly uses Pokemon assets and characters.

When it comes to Pokemon, "Gotta Catch 'Em All" probably refers to rip-off games as much as it does the pocket monsters themselves. Another obvious Pokemon rip-off game has popped up, this time on the Microsoft Store.

Originally spotted by Nintendo Life, Capsmon Adventure: Brave Heroes Assemble makes no attempt beyond the name to hide that it's a rip-off, using official Pokemon artwork and characters. The game even uses promotional artwork from Pokémon the Movie: Genesect And The Legend Awakened as the app icon.

The game is available for free with in-game purchases and can be downloaded on PC and mobile, at least until Nintendo and/or The Pokemon Company have it taken down. While the game was noticed last Thursday, the Microsoft store has a listed release date of March 30. As of June 9, the listing is still live and the game is available to download.

If you're interested in playing an official Pokemon game, Sword and Shield's first DLC expansion, The Isle of Armor, releases on June 17 with the second expansion, The Crown Tundra, coming later this year.
