Experience Gets Publisher
WXP, the makers of the Dagoth Moor T&L demo bundled with GeForce cards, signs a publishing deal with Sierra for two games destined for both the Xbox and the PC.
The Whole Experience (WXP) has signed a letter of intent with Sierra to develop two games over the next three years, according to the fan site Experience 3D. WXP made a splash last December with the release of the Dagoth Moor demo, which features a very high polygon count organic environment intended to show off the hardware transform and lighting (T&L) acceleration of the NVidia GeForce cards.
WXP is using the Dagoth Moor engine to power an action game called Experience. The latest news is, however, that this will be the second title released by Sierra. The first game in the publishing deal will be a 3D fantasy role-playing game set to be completed in late 2001. Both games are said to target the Xbox first, with PC versions to follow.
Sierra acknowledged to GameSpot that it was in talks with WXP, but reminded us that many details have yet to be finalized.
