Ubi Soft Entertainment sent us a new group of screenshots from its upcoming first-person shooter Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon today. The new screens show off some of the game's detailed 3D environments, weapons, and character models.

Ghost Recon is in development at Red Storm Entertainment, the studio that created the Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six and Rogue Spear game series. Like the previous games, Ghost Recon will focus on modern-day squad-based tactics, but it will feature large open environments in addition to smaller interior areas. It will also feature improved animation and graphics, along with a number of new gameplay features such as role-playing elements and the ability to take control of any of the characters on the squad.

Ghost Recon is scheduled for release this holiday season. For more information, take a look at our in-depth preview of the game.
