Excellent-Looking PS4/PC Shooter Strafe's Release Date Pushed Back

It's no longer coming out this month.

We'll now be waiting a bit longer before getting our hands on Strafe, the '90s-style roguelike shooter from developer Pixel Titans.

After previously being slated for release on March 28, Strafe will now be out for PS4 and PC on May 9. In a press release, publisher Devolver Digital jokingly attributed this to "an unforeseen polygon shortage."

"Strafe requires over 150,000 meticulously placed polygons to create its bleeding-edge graphics," game director Thom Glunt said, referencing the distinctly mid-90s look of the game. "Through an unexpected legal entanglement and a series of clerical errors, nearly 25,000 of those polygons arrived late to Pixel Titans world headquarters thus delaying the game by a few weeks."

Strafe is a promising shooter that essentially mashes up Quake with modern elements, as well as those of roguelikes. I really enjoyed what I got to play of it previously.
