Former Diablo designers Chris and Ron Millar join Peter Molyneux's "hotbed of creativity."

Today Peter Molyneux's Lionhead Studios announced that industry vets Chris and Ron Millar have signed on to the development team. The pair is scheduled to join the UK-based creator of Fable and The Movies sometime this month.

The Millar brothers are most famous for their work on Blizzard Entertainment's Starcraft, Warcraft, and Diablo series--Ron in various producer roles and Chris in design positions. Most recently, the pair was employed at Boulder, Colorado-based developer Jaleco, where they worked on Goblin Commander: Unleash the Horde. After the game was released last November--to indifferent reviews and poor sales--the Millars left the studio.

Understandably, the pair is excited about joining Molyneux's crew. Calling Lionhead a "hotbed of creativity," Ron gushed, saying that Lionhead is "literally bursting with very talented and passionate people." Molyneux concurred, saying that “Ron and Chris have so much experience in games development and design that we felt that they would be an exciting and valuable addition to Lionhead. The games they have worked on speak for themselves, and I am very much looking forward to working with them both.”
