EverQuest: Platinum ships to stores

Sony Online Entertainment has squeezed the original massively multiplayer role-playing game EverQuest and all seven of its expansion packs into a $29.99 Platinum-edition box and shipped it off to stores. The game was originally released more than five years ago, and SOE has steadily released new content and upgraded graphics for the classic online game in the form of expansion packs, the most recent being February's Gates of Discord. The other six expansions included in the bundle are The Ruins of Kunark, The Scars of Velious, The Shadows of Luclin, The Planes of Power, The Legacy of Ykesha, and Lost Dungeons of Norrath. But Sony isn't stopping there. Another expansion, called Omens of War, adds a new invading race and will ship to stores in September.
