EVE enters new beta phase

Simon & Schuster Interactive has announced that EVE: The Second Genesis has entered a new phase of public beta testing. In addition to other refinements, the key new features in the beta include a 3D space map, combat drones, and an extensive agent system that lets players get missions and loans from agents or use an agent to locate the target of a bounty hunting mission.

EVE: The Second Genesis is scheduled for release in the first quarter of next year and will ship simultaneously in North America and Europe. For more details, check out our previous coverage of the game.
