Hasbro Interactive has shipped MicroProse's European Air War, the sequel to 1942: The Pacific Air War. European Air War takes desktop flight simulator fans into the heat of World War II battle. The Windows 95/98 title supports popular graphic APIs: Microsoft's Direct3D and 3Dfx's Glide.

"European Air War is a highly anticipated flight simulation offering players the opportunity to take to the skies over Europe during the most dangerous days of World War II," said Tom Dusenberry, president of Hasbro Interactive. "With its unsurpassed graphics and spine-tingling gameplay, this game ensures ferocious combat and unpredictable dogfight action."

The title allows gamers to fly 20 historical missions for the German Luftwaffe, British Royal Air Force, or US Army Air Force in one of three campaigns - Battle of Britain: 1940, European Theater: 1943, or European Theater: 1944. Twenty detailed aircraft are in the game including the P-51 Mustang, the Messerschmitt, and the Spitfire. Gaming options include quick start, single mission, or career play.

Up to eight flyers can fly head-to-head against one another or in cooperative missions over the MSN Gaming Zone, modem, serial, LAN, or TCP/IP connections.
