Nintendo has sent GameSpot the final US copy of Eternal Darkness for the GameCube and we have taken a multitude of new screenshots and movies of the game. Developed by the creators of the Legend of Kain franchise, Eternal Darkness features 12 playable characters and a twisting plot that spans several different time periods. A sanity meter that gradually dwindles as your character views particularly gruesome scenes governs the game. When the sanity meter is depleted your character will begin to hallucinate and the game will begin playing tricks on you.

Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem is rated M for mature and will be on store shelves next week. Look for our full review in the coming days.
