Escape From Tarkov is a hybrid FPS and online action RPG that delivers a wholly unique take on the hardcore military shooter, providing players with an exhilarating risk/reward cycle and an ever-changing in-game loot economy to keep the stakes high and raids fresh despite its difficulty. It's still in early access, but it's built up quite the reputation over its long closed alpha and now closed beta period. Its popularity among streamers, high viewership on Twitch, frequent updates, and regular video logs from developer Battlestate Games has nurtured a strong playerbase over the years, keeping fans engaged and occupied with new content. There are around 100 firearms and several hundred unique parts, mods, and attachments to create endless variants, seven maps with more on the way (including the highly anticipated Streets of Tarkov), over 200 quests, an unlockable marketplace for buying and selling loot, and a hideout system you can upgrade for a number of out-of-raid operations.

If you're curious about Escape From Tarkov, you should be aware of its various preorder editions before making your purchase. There are four editions of the game, including the Standard edition, Left Behind edition, Prepare For Escape edition, and Edge of Darkness Limited Edition, all ranging in price from $45 to $140. Each comes with an increasingly larger in-game loot stash (essentially your out-of-raid inventory), a ton of item bonuses, and even some special perks. For more detail on the specific version differences, pricing system, head to the official website or read on below.
