CDV Software has launched a new official Web site for its upcoming squad-based strategy game, Escape from Alcatraz. The new site includes a general overview of the game's story and features, as well as new screenshots and concept art from the game.

Escape from Alcatraz is set in an alternate reality reminiscent of George Orwell's 1984. In the game, players control a small group of rebels, and they must free their associates from a series of prisons, each more difficult than the last. As they free their companions, the squad grows in size, and each character adds a critical element for the next prison break. The gameplay is similar to that of the Commandos series, and it combines strategy, action, and puzzle elements.

Escape from Alcatraz is in development at Philos Laboratories, and it is scheduled for release this holiday season. For more information, take a look at our previous coverage of the game.
