The sequel to Enola Holmes is happening. Millie Bobby Brown and Henry Cavill will star in the follow-up to last year's Netflix hit.

Brown will reprise her role as Enola, the rebellious younger sister of the legendary detective Sherlock Holmes, and Cavill is set to play Sherlock once more. As with the first movie, Enola Holmes 2 will be directed by Harry Bradbeer and written by Jack Thorn, and it will be produced by Netflix and Legendary Entertainment. Netflix announced the movie with a short teaser--check it out below:

Legendary produced the first movie and it was originally set for theatrical release last year through Warner Bros. However, the COVID-19 pandemic led to Netflix picking up the rights, and it hit the service in September. Netflix states that 76 million households watched it in the first month of release, although it's worth remembering that the company only counts the first two minutes as a viewing.

The character of Enola Holmes was created by Nancy Springer for a series of Young Adult novels. The movie was also the subject of a copyright infringement lawsuit against Netflix by the estate of Sherlock Holmes creator Arthur Conan Doyle, but this was settled out-of-court in December last year.

Brown will also return as Eleven in Stranger Things Season 4. The next season of the Netflix show doesn't have a release date yet, but co-star Finn Wolfhard recently suggested it wouldn't be with us before 2022. A spooky new teaser was recently released--check it out here.
