Gathering has today announced that the English-language version of Mafia for the PlayStation 2 has shipped to stores in both North America and Europe. The non-English-language versions of the game will be available in Europe from February 13.

Originally released for the PC back in 2002, Mafia is a story-driven action game set in the 1930s. The third-person action game sees players assuming the role of a taxi driver named Thomas Angelo, who becomes involved with the mob in the fictional city of Lost Heaven.
