At the Game Developers Conference in San Jose last month, GameSpot editor Miguel Lopez interviewed Jon Alenson about Stainless Steel Studios' upcoming strategy game, Empire Earth. In this four-part video interview, Alenson covers a variety of topics about the game and gives a brief look at several time periods featured in the game, including the Paleolithic era, the Bronze Age, the Age of Imperialism, and the Atomic Age. In addition, the gameplay footage shows off a number of units that will be featured in the game, including siege engines, warships, and the nuclear bomb.

In Empire Earth, players will control a small civilization and guide it through the course of 500,000 years of human history. For more information, take a look at our previous coverage of the game and watch the video interview linked below. Empire Earth is currently in development at Stainless Steel Studios, and it is scheduled for release by Sierra Studios in August.
