Westwood Studios has released a new screenshot showing off one of the units featured in its upcoming game Emperor: Battle for Dune. The game will be the first fully 3D real-time strategy game released by Westwood. It is set in the sci-fi Dune universe that was created by the Frank Herbert novel series and has been used in previous games from Westwood Studios. Players choose from one of three main factions: the House Atreides, the Harkonnen, or the Ordos. The game will feature 33 maps and more than 100 single-player missions.

The new unit revealed today is known as the Ordos Kobra cannon. It is named after the dangerous snake due to both its physical resemblance to the creature as well as its devastating quickness. Though House Ordos is known for the mobility of its weaponry, the Kobra also carries devastating firepower, and the tracked vehicle can raise its cannon to give it an extended range and 360-degree rotation.
