Emperor: Battle for Dune announced
Westwood announces a real-time strategy game based in the Dune universe.
Westwood Studios has announced its upcoming real-time strategy game Emperor: Battle for Dune. The 3D-accelerated game is based in the Dune universe, originally outlined by the Frank Herbert novels and developed into three previous Westwood Studios games. The single-player campaign features 33 different maps and more than 100 missions. In addition, players are able to choose from one of three main alliances: the noble House Atreides, the evil Harkonnen, and the insidious Ordos.
Emperor: Battle for Dune is scheduled for release in early 2001. For more information about the game, read our extensive preview.
