What likeness? Ellie is much more prettier than ellen page, and i bet Ellie is cooler too, heh heh ^^

Not saying that I think she should sue Naughty Dog but just to clarify for the people saying that you can't sue because of a face, there is such a thing as suing for the commercial use of likeness. What's the big deal? Why because she didn't collect a check for it? That's the problem with actors nowadays. I see older actors go through extremes for a movie role, or make sacrifices to ensure that the movie is up to par. And she thinks that acting in a video game prevents her from showing up in another video game? How does being in Beyond Two Souls change anything? I think it should be flattering for them to want to use her likeness in a game. Hollywood is just too damn commercial with all these little bullshit ideas they focus on. Some people forget that they are actually human beings because the media makes them seem larger than life. Funny.

I'm surprised that other actors haven't complained before. Naughty Dog has a habit of making their characters look like actors who aren't involved with the game in any way. Nathan Drake looks just like Nathan Fillion, and again they didn't even bother to use a different first name. The female antagonist (I can't remember her name) from Uncharted 3 looked just like Helen Mirren. In the Last of Us, besides Ellie resembling Ellen Page and having a similar first name, Joel looks like Josh Brolin and the character "David" looks just like actor David Straithairn.

Okay screw it, as it appears no one that is leaving negative comments has any reason or is doing any research what-so-ever. If they did they would know it was a harmless answer to an AMA question, she doesn't want to take action, and she isn't even offended by it. She just prefers the game she acts in to be the only one that uses her image, and someone asked her a question specifically accusing another game of using her image and she answered accordingly. BUT, it seems no one wants to think about that. You all want to jump on this idiotic band wagon and call her a "bitch" and make all these sarcastic comments. What is wrong with gaming journalism these days? We have become the tabloids. Always taking things out of context with no regard for the people we are harming in the process.

Now the screenshots from both games look almost the same. Just that The Last of Us girl is younger and has blue eyes. Specially on the first screenshots and artwork .

Is it me, or did Naughty Dog's creative director just ignored Ellen Page's comment, there was no reason why Ellie from the Last of Us, looks like Ellen Page. WTF. Even their first 3 letter of their names are identical "Ell"!

Naughty Dog...next time use balls (no, not those you pervs) as main characters as not to rip off the likeness of around 6 billion humans (we demand 1 dolla each nao btw for your continued use of bipedal mammals in your games. The nerve!)

People are really blowing her comment on Reddit out of proportion. She didn't say she wanted to take action or she was super pissed. She just said she would prefer it if her image was only used in the games she actually acts in. The question she was asked directly asked her what she thought about her image being used in another video game. It isn't like she went out of her way to bitch about it.

Just watched the video review for Deadpool. I was sure Ellen Page did his acting, but it appears it's not true

First time i watched last of us gaming video, i thought that Ellen Page acted her also. She is an actress, and her face belongs her own. If she goes court about this, she is going to win anyway. But in this new world everything has an advertisement advantage. She may not go court about this, but everbody will remember her an last of us actress also.

She is a very promising actress and i shocked her performance at "Hard Candy".

i think people are blowing this up much more than what she intended. its not like she came out on her own and said that... someone asked her that on an open reddit. its apparent what naughty dog was doing, duh - they're known to do that. it adds to the immersion. even though its an incredible game - im sure most of you would feel the same.. violated in some way. ffs ign/gamespot.. its not that big of a deal
