From the first trailer of last of us I already noticed that Ellie look a lot like Ellen page, even their name is very close. Then I saw her again in the trailer of Beyond so I thought Page got a good break by becoming a model for characters in two games, But now I know she had no participation in the creation of Ellie from last of us. I think ND really designed Ellie basing from Page (They are a Fan, hehe!), they just added some details to her looks so it will fit with the nature of the game.

I thought everyone knew she looked like Ellen Page.

Give Ellen Page green iris' and freckles with a slightly younger look and she'll look exactly like Ellie, even her name is similar to hers. Ellie/Ellen, come on! Now give Ashley Johnson, those qualities and some short brown hair and she'll look exactly like her as well. I think if it wasn't a blatant replication of Page's looks, then if anything Ellie's looks are at least slightly inspired by her. It also could be a coincidence though, because Ashley Johnson does look like her after the first few seconds of comparing. Just give her a bit of Ellie's physical qualities and you can see Ashley.

I have to agree. In fact, the first time I saw the game's character I immediately thought to myself "hey, they must of modeled her after Ellen Page." I'm not sure what the moral ramifications are of this but it's interesting :)

try and find side on prfile pictures of them both, then you'll see they actually look nothing alike.

Why did Naughty Dog praise the work of Ashley Johnson for a character that looks like Ellen Page? lol!! That's kind of them. They didn't even address Ellen's concerns. It's pretty obvious that it was made from Ellen Page.

They look so alike that I assumed she was involved with the game. Considering shes not its a blatant rip-off. Naughty Dog are indeed naughty....

Sounds like she's annoyed that she didn't actually get the role itself. Reckons they robbed her likeness without paying her a fee and getting her in to voice the part.

Might track down a pic of the actual voice actress for this character. If they're equally similar then Ellen Page hasn't really got a case.

Why is Ellen Page so popular, again? Seeing her in The Last of Us and Beyond: Two Souls doesn't entice me more to buy those games.

always thought she was the actor for the game ever since the game was first announced. im surprise shes not in it.

yea she does look a bit like her but Ellen Page has kind of a big ego i guess. Just cause you look like your 12 doesnt mean that you get to say that every 12 year old girl is trying to look like you.

I thought they looked alike, but now that I see the two pictures together I don't really think they're similar except for the hair.
